I had the privledge of organizing a "Rotarian's at Work Day" at Buckheart Ranch in Escondido, CA (a rehabilitation facitily for teenage boys with significant drug issues). We were helped by over 25 club members, their spouses or kids, Boy Scout troop 688, and kids from the RYLA Clubs.

We painted chicken houses, water towers, cleared brush, planted roses and strawberries. The weather was perfect, and we wrapped up early. Every Rotary Club in San Diego participated at some location around the county this last weekend. This effort has started to spread around the world. The original effort was by my club I am proud to say. The Rotary Club of Rancho Bernardo Sunrise.
