Dental Bonding

San Diego Dentist & Dental Bonding with Dr. Paul Coleman

Bonding is a method of restoring decayed teeth, making cosmetic improvements, changing the color of teeth, or reshaping teeth with a composite resin filling.

Tooth bonding can be used to correct many of the same types of problems as porcelain veneers, but it requires less of your original tooth for support. It can build up a short or broken tooth, replacing up to half of the tooth.

Bonding can be used to correct the appearance of:

  • Small areas of decay
  • Discoloration in teeth that are resistant to whitening
  • Misshapen or crooked teeth
  • Short teeth
  • Chips
  • Fractures
  • Small gaps

Bonding does more than improve the appearance of your teeth. It can protect them from future damage, and by covering exposed areas, reduced sensitivity and pain.
